A NOTE FROM THE OWNER
Posted 10/3/17

I very rarely take the time to post something online. I do not have a Facebook account…I don’t do Twitter…I don’t even have cable TV. I DO have my family and my music…And those are the only two things that I really need to be happy.

Today, I feel the need to reach out on social media.

Yesterday, my musical hero…. someone who helped me through many difficult moments in life…someone who I was fortunate to meet…someone who ultimately had a hand in both Anthem Musical Instruments and North Bridge Winds…. passed away.

Tom Petty, may you rest in peace and Thank You for making my world a better place.

Chronicle WMUR9 Updated 11/3/14
Flute Essentials is now available in print. Flute Essentials is an informational 6-page brochure that is designed to help young students, band directors, and parents to navigate the process of purchasing a step-up flute. The brochure is chock full of flute "close-up" photos, and covers topics such as choosing flute materials, flute headjoints, pointed arms vs. Y-arms, pivot screws and adjustment screws, cork and crown assemblies, open vs. closed holes, the Split E and C# trill, wall thickness, gizmos, tone holes, and much more.

Chronicle WMUR9 Updated 10/1/14
North Bridge Winds has uploaded the Chronicle human interest story on their very own headjoint maker, Chris McKenna, to our web site.

Chronicle is a newsmagazine television series produced by two New England television stations, WCVB in Boston, Massachusetts and WMUR in Manchester, New Hampshire. The program has been highly regarded since it debuted in 1982. Many of the stories on Chronicle feature topics that are of interest to New Englanders, from vacation getaways and landmarks, to inspirational stories about inventors and pioneers, such as flute artisan Chris McKenna

This 6+ minute Chronicle video highlights everything from flutes that McKenna made of rhubarb and Japanese knotwood, to flutes that he designed with electric pickups and whammy bars. The feature provides a great look into the mind of this gifted headjoint maker, as the Chronicle host states, "after viewing, you may never look at flutes the same way again." Chronicle's Sean McDonald comments, "Chris McKenna is a flutist, an inventor, a craftsmen, and an open-minded pioneer."

"I am honored to be working with Chris," commented David Kilkenny of North Bridge Winds. "He is a truly wonderful person with a passion for music, instrument making, and life. The Chronicle segment does a great job capturing Chris' unique personality and many talents."
